Dear friends,

The Rwanda Pharmaceutical Students’ Association/Association des Etudiants en Pharmacie au Rwanda (RPSA/AEPHAR) is one of the largest students run associations, bringing together more than 350 Pharmacy students in Rwanda from National University of Rwanda in Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Medicine. Established in 1999 as a non political, non-governmental, nonprofit making, non-religious and voluntary organization and RPSA/AEPHAR is the leading National advocacy organization for pharmacy students aiming at improving and promoting public health through provision of information, education, Research and networking with other organization nationally or internationally as well as the improvement and development of the skills and knowledge of participating students. AEPHAR rapidly expanded to one of the major non-political, non-governmental organizations working in the fields of community health and capacity building for Pharmacy students in Rwanda. I am very pleased to write to everybody at such an exciting time for our association. Following the very successfully activities done by RPSA/AEPHAR in previous years let me express my deepest gratitude to all the RPSA/AEPHAR members, executive committee and different sponsors and partners in all activities they have done in previous years for improvement of living standard of our community and for the development of our beloved association.

It is with great excitement that I look to the months ahead; our members and executive committee will work very hard to achieve more and to expand the number of activities in Public health, reproductive health, pharmacy practice and improvement, community services, capacity building of our participants’ members, to work collaboratively as well as working in transparency. AEPHAR is a major stakeholder when it comes to students taking an active role in modifying their societies and working to improve living standard of the community.

As you view the documents on this Website and read about the remarkable work done by our association, we hope that you will be inspired to get involved in our efforts. We are grateful to national and international partners who continue to help us in achieving a more sustainable health for the Rwandan population and hope to continue to work collaboratively.

In conclusion, AEPHAR believes and works towards creating culturally sensitive Pharmacy students who are able to modify or change health problems throughout the world, to work relentlessly to alleviate the burdens of those problems and to join forces with relevant partners to create healthier communities, and thus a healthier Rwandan.

Thank you very much! God bless you!
